Dearest, best and nearest,

a first try to make this blog more cosmopolitan by hereby starting to post in English. I am sincerely gonna miss the possibilities the german language offers me, not so much though, the spanish translations, so here we go:

After a summer of hard fieldwork in Montevideo i am taking a week off to finally enjoy the mercosurian sun in all its warm an skin-burning splendor. It has been six years since I last visited Brasil and now I am almost on the way back.

But first a daytrip to Uruguays beautiful coast. La Pedrera and the sand dunes at Cabo Polonio are to be visited tomorrow and taken in with little time and lots of hunger for vacation...
